Dear Parishioner
We’re half way through our Project Advance campaign and we’re almost half way to or goal of $70,000. Thank you to the parishioners who have already contributed.
The slogan this year is “Empowering our Parish Vision”. I find that saying particularly apt this year because our parish is in a time when we are beginning to seriously develop that vision for the future of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is my intention in my second year as pastor to fully develop with you, the parishioners, a parish vision.
It starts with the fact that we need to make the washrooms in the basement accessible to all, especially those who have mobility issues. Mounting the stairs of our poster to our goal of $70,000 will help us to install a new lift.
The money will go towards finishing our basement that is ready to be transformed from a big dark empty place into a welcoming space that will attract people and help build community, as well as being a source of revenue. Please help out as best you can – even if you can only give a small donation, it’s the act of participation that is paramount. God bless you.
